GONG Yan is professor of English and Canadian Studies. She is the founding director of the Canadian Studies Centre of School of English and International Studies, and was Vice President of Association of Canadian Studies in China (ACSC, 2014-2016). She has compiled more than ten textbooks (as chief editor or contributor), edited and published conference proceedings on critical thinking and speaking, and published papers on Canadian Studies. She was awarded Higher Education "Teaching Excellence" award by Beijing Municipal Government, and Teaching and Research Achievement Award by Ministry of Education. TITLE/POSITION: Professor
