China National Research Institute for Foreign Language Teaching Material
Institute Profile
Established in March 2019 by Beijing Foreign Studies University, the China Foreign Language Teaching Materials Research Center was officially designated by the Ministry of Education in July 2023 as the National Research Institute for Foreign Language Teaching Materials. The institute features a multi-tiered staffing structure, including five full-time researchers, 39 adjunct scholars, and 22 honorary research fellows. Uniting top scholars in foreign language education domestically and internationally, the institute conducts in-depth research on language teaching materials, synthesizing the best practices of foreign language education at home and abroad. Through a combination of theoretical insight and practical support, the institute facilitates the development of foreign language teaching materials for educational institutions at all levels. It is further committed to enhancing teachers’ textbook use, cultivating innovative instructional methods, and contributing to the advancement of foreign language education in China.
