Professor Bin Gao is a professor of translation studies at Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU) and a practicing EU-accredited conference interpreter. Her research focuses on innovative approaches to translator education and the cognitive processes of interpreting.
She has authored over 30 articles in major international and domestic journals, in addition to two monographs and two translated books. Her contributions to the field were recognized through her selection for the Ministry of Education's "New Century Excellent Talents Support Program" in 2012. Professor Gao’s research has attracted significant peer-reviewed funding. She has led and completed major research initiatives, including a General Project of the National Social Science Fund of China and the Ministry of Education. Her work has also received the Third Prize for Outstanding Achievements in Scientific Research for Higher Education in Beijing.
Demonstrating her commitment to the profession, she serves as a Council Member of the Translation Studies Committee of the Chinese Comparative Literature Association (CCLA) and a Committee Member of the Interpreting Committee of the Translators Association of China (TAC).
